ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç believes it is important to increase the use of sustainable modes of transportation to decrease negative effects on the environment as well as reduce traffic flow on campus.
In an effort to support sustainable practices and promote healthier lifestyles, the University offers a bicycle commuter reimbursement benefit. This allows for a monthly reimbursement of up to $20 for cycling expenses incurred by employees who ride a bicycle to work. The Office of Residential Life owns over 20 bicycles that residential students can borrow for a semester to use for on-campus transportation, reducing automobile use on campus.

Facilities Planning & Construction and the ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç Campus Police Department currently use 8 electric vehicles and 12 rechargeable golf carts in the course of their daily duties. ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç's vehicle pool for staff and faculty use includes 5 Ford Fusion hybrids and a hybrid Toyota Prius. Electric and Hybrid vehicles help to cut greenhouse gas and other harmful emissions. They also save energy and reduce overall fossil fuel consumption.
