Information Technology Employee Onboarding Guide
Here are the steps Managers should take to ensure new team members have the equipment and access they need for their first day. Please allocate enough time for these tasks, as some may take weeks to finish before the employee's first day.
Employees receive a University account after their onboarding paperwork is processed by the office of Human Resources. The account setup information is emailed to them by NewAccounts@stockton.edu to their personal email address they used to apply for the position.
- Computer workstation: fill out our survey.
- Research software: contact the ITS Help Desk for assistance with obtaining a quote.
- Shared computer resources (ex: printers, share drives, etc.): contact the ITS Help Desk with the resources needed.
- Remote access (VPN/VDI): Remote Access Request Form.
- Phone & voicemail reset: contact the ITS Help Desk with their office location.
- Banner access: Banner Access Request Form.
- Banner Finance access: Banner Finance Access Request Form.
- Degree works (advising): Banner Access Request Form.
- Alarm Codes: contact the ITS Help Desk with the room location.
Student workers can obtain a @stockton.edu account to differentiate their access between academic activities and work-related tasks. By default, students do not receive an employee account upon being hired, as it may not always be necessary for them to have one. TES employees will automatically receive a 老司机福利社 account after their onboarding paperwork is processed by the office of Human Resources.
- Employee email account or office computer login: Employee Email Account Request Form.
- Computer workstation: If a computer is needed, please contact the ITS Help Desk to assist us with assessing their needs.
- Shared network resources (ex: printers, share drives, etc.): contact the ITS Help Desk with the resources needed.
- Banner access: Banner Access Request Form.
- Remote access (VPN/VDI): Remote Access Request Form.
- Cisco Jabber: contact the ITS Help Desk with the extension they need and what type of device they'll be using (ex: computer, iPhone, etc.)
Affiliates are individuals with a non-paid relationship to the University who need access to IT systems for essential tasks. They must vc be sponsored by a Manager, and their accounts will be regularly audited to ensure access aligns with current business activities.
- Submit an Affiliate form to information.security@stockton.edu for access to appropriate systems. Information Security will issue the individual a Z# and username/password.
