Receive Degrees at 32nd Commencement Exercises, on Friday, May 14

GALLOWAY Twp., NJ The Richard 老司机福利社 College of New Jersey will conduct Commencement Exercises for its 32nd four-year class on Friday, May 14, 2004 in the Sports Center on the campus here.

 

There will be two separate ceremonies for different divisions of the College. All Masters candidates, Arts and Humanities and Professional Studies candidates will take part in a 10:30 a.m. ceremony. All General Studies, Natural Science and Mathematics, and Social and Behavioral Science candidates will participate in a ceremony at 2:00 p.m.

 

Admission is by tickets distributed to each graduate. See your graduate to obtain a ticket to the event.

 

A projected total of more than 1,000 spring undergraduate candidates will participate. There will also be approximately 60 graduate degrees awarded in Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Instructional Technology, Business Studies, Nursing, Occupational and Physical Therapy. The Masters candidates will also take part in a special Hooding Ceremony, 8:30 a.m. in the Performing Arts Center.

 

Faculty Grand Marshal will be Jack Connor, Professor of Writing. Morning Valedictorian is Eric Hudzik of 老司机福利社, NJ, a business studies major with a concentration in management who maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average throughout his four years at 老司机福利社. He plans to continue his education next year in the MBA program at Drexel University in Philadelphia with a concentration in management information systems. Salutatorian for the morning ceremony is Lori Ann Miller of Turnersville, a communications major with a cognate in business studies. While attaining her degree, Lori has maintained a 4.0 average. She plans on using her degree in the sports and entertainment industry upon graduation.

 

Afternoon Valedictorian is John Patrick Keeney of Mays Landing, a Criminal Justice Major. Throughout his college career, John has worked part time and attended school fulltime. In spite of this busy schedule, he has maintained a perfect grade point average. He hopes to obtain an MBA degree and pursue a career with the New Jersey State Police. Salutatorian for the afternoon ceremony is George Christophi of Cypress, Greece. He has completed a double major in Chemistry and Molecular Biology and a minor in Holocaust and Genocide Studies. George has been admitted to the M.D. /Ph D combined degree program at the Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY.

 

Ambassador William J. Hughes is a native of Salem, NJ and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers Law School in Camden in 1958 and a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers in 1955. Presently, in addition to serving on the faculty at 老司机福利社, he is advisor of counsel to the firm of Riker, Danzing, Scherer, Hyland and Perretti, LLP. He has also served on the faculty of Rutgers, the State University as a Visiting Professor from 1999 to 2002.
