Noyes Exhibition:
Drag is Not a Crime

June 4th - September 29th

In this art exhibit, "Drag is Not a Crime," challenges societal norms and celebrates the vibrant world of drag as a form of self-expression and empowerment. Through a collection of visual artworks, fashion designs, photography, and performance pieces, the exhibit seeks to dismantle stereotypes and prejudice surrounding drag culture.

"Access to Art" Collage Workshop

12:00pm - 2:00pm

Texture refers to the way an object feels to the touch, whether it be real or implied.  For 90 minutes, we will explore this aspect of the visual arts. Attendees are invited to create textured collages using a variety of materials from sandpaper to bubble wrap. Create landscapes, portraits, or geometric patterns using the materials provided. All skill levels welcome.   All are welcome for these introductory artist-led workshops where participants are guided to create a finished piece each workshop.

All are welcome for these introductory artist-led workshops where participants are guided to create a finished piece each night.

The Noyes Access to Art Program offers a comprehensive year-round initiative for children and adults, with a strong emphasis on arts education. It features a wide variety of in-person and virtual art classes, engaging art history sessions, and captivating art exhibitions. Our uniquely crafted programs are designed to involve a wide range of participants, enabling them to discover, explore, and create original works. Women in Armed Forces During WWII

Women in the Armed Forces during World War II

Tuesdays, 9/3, 9/10, 9/17, 9/24

12pm - 1pm

During World War II, women joined the military in newly created branches of the Navy (WAVES), Coast Guard (SPARs), Army (WAC), and Marines. They also joined the Army and Navy as nurses, serving on the home front and in overseas theaters of war. This course will focus on the unique experiences and challenges women faced as they served.

$45, Free for those age 60 + who live in Atlantic County.

Women in Aviation during World War II

Tuesdays, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29

12pm-1pm

During World War II, home front shortages created a pressing need for skilled workers. Women entered the field of aviation in areas previously closed to them. They worked as aeronautical engineers, aviator’s mates, machinists, and more. Women also joined the WASP (Women Air Force Service Pilots), flying as civilian pilots working with the military. This course will focus on the essential work women did in the field of aviation during WWII.

$45, Free for those age 60 + who live in Atlantic County.

In a newly forged partnership with the Noyes Museum of Art, Hammonton Art Club will have hybrid art sessions the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month (September through May).

Adler Aphasia Center

The ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç Masters of Science in Communication Sciences & Disorders Program has aligned with Adler Aphasia Center to offer twice-monthly free clinics for those suffering from aphasia, a speech and language disorder. The group will meet on the second and fourth Fridays of each month from 10 a.m. – noon at ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç’s Kramer Hall, 30 Front St. in downtown Hammonton, N.J.
